So we’ve only gone and won another award!!!
On Friday 30th September the Yorkshire Blogger Awards 2022 were held in Leeds. We were lucky enough to be nominated in the wedding category and we were up against two wedding planners so it was tough competition but we did it! It’s just such a surprise but a huge achievement too.
We actually won at the Yorkshire Blogger Awards last year too but in the finance category which was obviously fantastic but there’s something extra special about winning in the wedding category.
We also attended the awards this year and it was such a fabulous night. To be in a room packed out with Yorkshire creatives and be recognised as part of that group was really overwhelming. There were some really talented people there that are going amazing things.
The Thrifty Bride started in 2019. There was literally nowhere talking about small budget weddings. Sure there were money saving tips for weddings but nowhere talking about the realities of being a budget bride or showcasing beautiful low cost weddings. So this place was born to do just that. Fast forward 3 years and this little corner of the internet has won two awards, been featured in several news articles and actually helps people have their own dream wedding on a budget. Mind. Blown.
It goes without saying that The Thrifty Bride wouldn’t have grown without the people that actually read this blog and the people that follow us on Instagram so a massive thank you to you lovely lot for always supporting us!
